the Texas Motor Speedway or make the short drive to watch a game of the
Super Bowl winning Dallas Cowboys. In the evening go from one end of the

Bass
Performance Hall, located at 4th and Calhoun streets, is an acclaimed
venue for the performing arts. The hall is home to the Fort Worth Symphony
Orchestra, Fort Worth Dallas Ballet, and Fort Worth Opera. Additionally,
the hall is a venue for the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition,
Cliburn concerts, and select Casa Manana performances. Public tours of
the hall are available at 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays - performance

Billy Bob's Texas
The
Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music consecutively
voted Billy Bob's Texas the Country Music Club of the Year. It is
also recognized as the world's largest honky-tonk. The attraction's
seven acres comprise two large dance floors, 32 bar stations, restaurants,
arcade games, pool tables, a general store, an indoor rodeo arena, and
a Handprint Wall of Fame. The venue has live music every night, free dance
lessons on Thursdays, and live rodeo bull riding Fridays and Saturdays.
Billy Bob's Texas, located at 2520 Rodeo Plaza, is open from 11
a.m. to 2 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sundays.

Cowtown Cattlepen
Maze
The Cowtown Cattlepen Maze, located at 145 E. Exchange Ave., describes
itself as “a Texas-size human maze.” Its wooden pathways,
made to resemble Old West cattle pens, are frequently rearranged so that
visitors may enjoy the attraction repeatedly. Guests can compete against
a clock or other maze-runners. A second-story observation deck allows
spectators to watch the action in the maze below. Admission prices are
$4.25 for adults, $3.25 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children

Fort Worth Zoo
The
nationally-ranked Fort Worth Zoo is one of the most popular attractions
in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It is one of two United States zoos to
display representatives of all four Great Ape species. Many of the zoo's
natural habitats have glass windows, allowing guests a close view of the
animals inside. Admission to the zoo costs $9 for adults, $5.50 for seniors
age 65 and over, $6.50 for children ages 3 to 12, and nothing for toddlers

Log Cabin Village
Log
Cabin Village, located at 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane, is a living history
museum featuring six 19th-century log cabins. Guests can tour each cabin,
which contain period furnishings, and learn what life was like from costumed
interpreters. Attractions include a water-powered gristmill, one-room
schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, herb garden, and several log homes. On some
occasions, guests can watch blacksmith or candle-making demonstrations.

Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show (Fort Worth Stock Show
and Rodeo)
The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a Fort Worth tradition dating back
to 1896. It is a 23-day extravaganza that includes horse shows, auctions,
and rodeos. Visitors can see livestock such as beef cattle, swine, and
llamas at the show. The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo takes place in
late January and early February within the Will Rogers Memorial Center.

Stockyard National
Historic District
The
Stockyard National Historic District houses some of the best attractions
Fort Worth offers. Billy Bob's Texas, Cowtown Coliseum, Stockyards
Stables, and Stockyards Station are just a few of the Western-themed attractions
that guests encounter. Additional shopping, restaurants, and saloons also
populate the district. The Stockyard National Historic District was named
a historical landmark in 1976, to commemorate its role in the meatpacking
industry. The historic district is located on East Exchange Avenue.
White Elephant Saloon
The
White Elephant Saloon might be Fort Worth's most famous Old West
saloon. A replica of the bar is featured on television's “Walker,
Texas Ranger.” The saloon has live country and western music performances
every night. Every February 8th, a re-enactment of the historical gun
fight between Luke Short (the owner of the original White Elephant Saloon)
and T.I. “Long Hair Jim” Courtright (former Fort Worth marshal)
occurs outside the saloon, which is located at 106 E. Exchange Ave. For

Fort Worth Botanic
Garden
The
Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in Texas, calls itself
“a sanctuary for the senses.” It houses over 2,500 species
of native and exotic plants in 21 specialty gardens. Over 100 acres of
natural settings and gardens, including the Fort Worth Japanese Garden,
provide an environment of beauty and peace. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge
The
Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge is an outstanding place to view native
wildlife and plants. Buffalo, white-tailed deer, and Texas wildflowers
are just a few sights guests might encounter. The 3,500-acre sanctuary,
located just 10 miles from downtown Fort Worth at 9601 Fossil Ridge Road,
houses 25 miles of trails. Its Hardwicke Interpretive Center has nature

Trinity River Trails
The
Trinity River Trails are widely used for biking, walking, and rollerblading.
The paved trails, spanning 32 miles, wind through Heritage Park, Trinity
Park, and Overton Park. Users can access the trails anywhere from Northside

Sports
Cowtown Coliseum
Cowtown
Coliseum provides guest with rodeo and Western-themed entertainment. It
prides itself on retaining its historic character while providing the
amenities of a modern venue. The coliseum hosts the Stockyards Championship
Rodeo every Friday and Saturday night. Other shows include Pawnee Bill's

Fort Worth Brahmas
The Fort Worth Brahmas are part of the Western Professional Hockey League.
They are owned by Andy Moog, a former Dallas Stars goalie and future hall-of-fame
inductee. Between mid-October and March, the Brahmas play at the Fort
Worth Convention Center. The center is located at 1111 Houston St. Call

Stockyards Arena
and Stables
Those
interested in riding horses can saddle up at Stockyards Arena and Stables.
Guests can choose between horseback riding and wagon rides. The horseback
riders can use the indoor arena or participate in an outdoor trail excursion.

Texas Motor Speedway
The
Texas Motor Speedway features NASCAR, Indy, and motorcycle racing. The

Will Rogers Memorial
Center
The
Will Rogers Memorial Center, which receives over 2 million visitors annually,
is a multipurpose entertainment complex. It includes an auditorium, coliseum,
exhibits hall, and equestrian center. The renowned Fort Worth Stock Show
and Rodeo is held at this venue. The Will Rogers Memorial Center is located
one mile north of I-30 off of the University Drive or Montgomery Street
